Scholarships for Native youth

Applications are now being accepted for the Native American Health Center College Scholarship Fund. This next round of scholarships will provide financial assistance for Native American students in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Native American Health Center College Scholarship Fund is an investment in the health and education of our future leaders.

This scholarship is for Native youth in the SF Bay area, but if you are not there, please contact them and ask if they know of any organizations where you live. In the United States Native organizations are out there, just have to look for them. Pass this on to any youth you know.Check out more info here

Props to Ghetto Manga, where I saw this video. Giant Robot is a dope magazine and is one of the most definitive magazine on Asian and Asian American culture. In thwe magazine I have read inspiring interviews about film makers, musicians, visual artists, actors, and so much more. Please support them the next time you are at your local book store.

Here is this months piece. A collaboration between writer and world traveler Andrea Wise, who is currently in Cambodia I think; and Illustrator Robert Trujillo-thats me. Let's see, Andrea does not work through Facebook or myspace so if you want to get in touch with her, please email me and I will relay the message to her. I spoke with Ms Wise about doing this piece because the girl is hella(very) international. nyway, this sister is not only a world traveler but a talented writer, an activist, and a just cool, down to earth person.
